Audience Feedback

1) Why is audience feedback essential to carry out?
Audience feedback is essential when making a thriller film, as they are going to watch your product. Establishing what kind of audience you are going to have helps the film gain more publicity from the right people. Audience feedback lets you get your audience views and tell you whether there is anything you can improve. This can also help you to gain even more viewers by listening to what your audience has to say. They are the main importance of the film as they are the ones who will be watching it and will be making your film a bigger success.

2) Where did you screen your production?
We chose to screen our thriller film in front of 20 people who were in our primary audience category ages 15-30. It occurred during our media lesson and after watching the opening scene from our thriller film, we handed out questionnaires these told us what the audience thought about our thriller film and what we could of changed, this was interesting as we made the thriller film all about what our target audience would like more rather than us or what we thought they would want.

3) How did youtube help?
Youtube is an international social networking site which has users everywhere in the world, this helped with the efficiently because we could upload it and know that different people worldwide are going to see it, this helped a lot as we was able to get feedback from different people who we didn't know. This led us to adding more effects when the writing is on the screen. As they didn't know us they could tell us what we needed to change and what they thought was good. This lead us to change many things and know what the audience for our thriller film wants to see.

4) What feedback did you receive?
One piece of feedback that we received as from Jess Howard, 16 'I found that the lighting in a couple of selections within the thriller was too dark for me to understand what was occurring in each clip, therefore made it more difficult to follow the story line'.

Secondly, James Davidson, 23 felt that 'The clip built suspense and tension throughout and made me anticipate what was going to occur next. It put me on the edge of my seat and i wanted to continue watching the film after the screening had finished'.

Group Meeting

What is the purpose of carrying out your meetings?
The main purpose for meetings to be made within the group is so everything that is done separately can be made sure its correct all together and if anyone else has any input, also to check that its in date of when the shedule should end. This also lets us works together and help each other in possible areas that one cant do themself.
Do you think your group worked well together?
our group worked well together, we each had a role and input our ideas into our thriller film to each make it our own. If a problem came up which was rare it would be dealt with quickly and without any trouble which also helped. As we each had the same interests in the group it was easy to overcome troubles as we all wanted what was best for the group and the thriller film itself.
