Hero- seeks something
Villain- opposes or actively blocks their heros quest.
Donor- provides an object with magical properties.
Dispatcher- sends the hero on his/her quest via a message.
False hero- disrupts the heros success by making false claims.
Helper- aids the hero.
Princess- acts as the reward for the hero and the object of the villains plot.
Father- who acts to reward the hero for his efforts.
Todorovs theory
Tzvetan Todorov simplified theidea of narrative theory whilst also allowing a more complex interpretation of film texts.
Clear structure of the beginning middle and end.
Equilibrium is at the beginning then a disequilibrium in the middle then back to an equilibrium at the end just not as happy.
